Attached below are the times we have been scheduled for this years Alien-In-Line skating as part of our Phys-Ed curriculum. This will take place in the IMS Gym and just a reminder that Alien-In-Line will provide all the safety gear for our kids, except helmets. Please try to find your child’s bike helmet over the weekend and send it in on Monday, with either their name in it, or on a piece of tape on the outside of the helmet. Our plan is to keep them at the school until our 3 sessions are completed, then we will send them home…if you need your child’s back nightly please let me know by email firstname.lastname@example.org or you can write me a note in your child’s Agenda. Thanks so much for your cooperation, Miss McBride

On Friday, February 17th we celebrated the 100th day of school for this grade 3 year! It was more like a Seniors Home instead of a school with staff and students in their best 100 year old outfits, 100 item shirts, clothes and so much more! We had a blast at school on our last day before Winter Break! We wrote about what we wished we had 100 of, wrote our names as many times as we could in 100 seconds, flipped a coin 100 times, got our very own personalized $100 bill, had a 100 scavenger hunt and a 100 Day Dance party to kick off the Winter Break! Have a great restful week and we will see you all on Monday, February 27th!

We will be on Winter Break for this year’s Annual Pink Day 2017, so we decided to have our PINK Day/Friendship Day on Wednesday, February 15! Staff and students wore pink to stand up against bullying as it STOPS HERE with us!! We were treated to a delicious friendship lunch of chicken nuggets, carrots, oranges, juice and a rice krispie. Thanks so much to our amazing EJWES Parent Council for that, we loved it!! We also took an Anti-Bullying pledge in 3MM and took a stand against bullies…there will be no bullying here!
Staff and students showed the LOVE at Ecole John Wilson Elementary School on Tuesday, February 14th! It was a sea of red and pink with so much fun the whole day through! We had a Valentines card exchange, math hearts sorting and patterning, pizza lunch and movie party and so much more! Lotsa Love, Miss M
We here in 3MM have a classroom New Year’s Resolution…to inspire kindness and pay it forward all throughout 2017! The world is a kinder place when you are kind. We also celebrate this in grade 3 through monthly Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Draws where 4 random students names will be pulled from our class bucket fillers. Ask your child what they can do to get their name into the draw…it is never to early to #InspireKindness. Love, Miss M
At Ecole John Wilson Elementary School we try to always follow the Big 5:
1. Be Respectful
2. Be Responsible
3. Be Truthful and Trustworthy
4. Be Cooperative
5. Be Caring
As part of #2 being responsible, this week we welcomed “Horhay the Fighting Fish” to classroom 3MM! We are very excited to have him in our classroom, and prove that in Room 3MM we can be responsible!
On Thursday, October 31st the staff and students of CCS dressed in black and orange for their spooktacular events throughout the school. Here Miss McBride’s kindergarten class shows off their Halloween attire for the day. At our Halloween party we had some delicious goodies and watched Julia Donaldson’s “Room on the Broom.” From the creator of “The Gruffalo,” Room on the Broom related back to our school-wide PAL positive behavior reinforcement program…was she being helpful or hurtful, and was their room on the broom for more friends?
